On Saturday 27th September 2025, Tropical World’s big end of season charity event hosted the ‘Little Blue Heroes’.
A hugely positive day that raised €3,000 for the organization, supporting these special children with life-limiting conditions.
It was great to see some ‘Little Blue Heroes’ attend on the day and enjoy the zoo!
In Spring of 2026, three Lemurs from Tropical World went all the way to ZOO Wojciechów in Poland as part of a European wide breeding programme to help sustain the bloodlines, and future-proof the sustainability of the critically endangered species. George, a black Lemur and two black and white ruffed Lemurs Barry and Punjana have now settled happily in Poland.
Zookeepers at Tropical World were heartbroken to wave goodbye, but in their heart of hearts they know it’s for the betterment of the species. Our friends at ZOO Wojciechów brought two Pygmy Marmosets and two White-lipped Tamarins to enhance these species in Tropical World.
